UNESCO historical centre heritage

Around 50 km from the Agritoruism Le Muraglie, you can visit Ferrara, an important artistic and cultural centre, which is also a UNESCO heritage.

One of its particular characteristic is the presence of the Castle in the heart of the center, with the moat viabled by boat. The Castle is the ancient residence of the Estense family, which ruled the city from the 300s to the 500s. Other places of cultural significance are:

• The House of Ludovico Ariosto, an important poet from Renaissance

Ferrara has been called as “the city of bicycles” because of its bicycle tradition and its cycle paths. For those who love the cycle, in fact, it is possible to ride along 9 km-walls, which surrounds the centre, along a route that winds along the rampart and embankment.
